Hollywood and Bollywood joining hands

Ever heard of Barrie Osborne? He produced 'Lord of the Rings' in Hollywood . So, I do not need to explain about him more since many of you know more than me about 'Lord of the Rings'. Barrie Osborne, his frined Michael Peyser and Indian animation film maker N Madhusudhanan are jointly going to start a digital studio called Vayu Digital in Chennai, India and are going to invest $20 million for this project. The goal is to use the cheap and talented pool of Indian animation professionals in making animations for Hollywood and Bollywood. The studio will have its head office in Los Angeles, next to Hollywood and will have a local partner in Chennai.

  This is another badge in the cap of Indian ICT sector. Visual effects outsourcing is becoming a major growth area in India and according to NASSCOM, by 2009 the visual effects outsourcing in India will reach to $95million.
