McAfee, Inc, one of the global leading companies in Intrusion Prevention and Security Risk Management, has announced its plan to invest $80 million in India in the next four years. It has also announced its plan to increase the number of workers in India from the current 600 to 1000 by 2008. The Indian center is the largest research and development (R&D) for McAfee and McAfee top bosses are highly satisfied with the performance of its Indian center.
The McAfee India Centre has played an important role in the recent spell of profit making world wide by McAfee. Increase in investment in India will benefit McAfee in two ways. On the one hand, McAfee can take advantage of the cheap pool of talented professionals in india to cater to the rest of the world. On the other hand, Indian market is becoming one of the most attractive markets in the world for networking and security companies. A flourishing Indian economy means more demand for products and services offered by McAfee. Thus McAfee is going to kill two birds with one stone.
