South Asian Business news and information

Today, I like to write about Asian Development Outlook (ADO) 2006, an important report published by Asian Development Bank (ADB) yesterday. You can download the document free of charge from this link. From this publication, you can know about the forecast of Asian Development Bank about the countries belonging to Central Asia, East Asia, South East Asia and the Pacific. I must admit that I could read the report completely yet (344 pages) but I went though the pages about the economies of the countries that are related to the scope of this blog ( South Asia ). I felt happy to know South Asian countries were doing fine overall except Nepal.

 The report identified increasing fuel price as a big problem for Asian countries. It praised Pakistan's economic growth in last year. I came to know from the publication that Indian economy is having more weight in the overall economy of ADB members and Bangladeshi economy is moving ahead against all the odds.

 In the next 8 posts, I am going to write about the discussion and the prediction of ADB about the 7 South Asian countries. If you like to know about any other region please let me know and I will try my best to discuss about them.
