![]() KfW Bankengruppe is a giant German institutional financier. ABOut its activities I could find this in its website:
What we do we do as professionally as possible and at the lowest possible cost: in the promotion of SMEs, in home finance or housing modernization, in the protection of the environment and the climate, in Export and Project Finance or in the promotion of the developing and transition countries.
KfW Bankengruppe works in Germany, Europe and other parts of the world including India. It has now announced that it is going to invest 3 billion euro in the next three years in India. Right now, its investment in India is just 30 million euros in two nfrastructure funds. The new investment will mainly be carried out in airlines, airport, telecom, shipping and transport sectors in India.
This is certainly very good news for the Indian economy and also another recognition of the Indian success. KfW Bankengruppe has a representative office and it is going to open another representative office in Mumbai. Mr Peter Klaus, Member of the Board of Managing Directors of KfW Bankengrouppe is now in India and he is assessing the condition here for future investment.
