Pakistan government and the private sector entrepreneurs are trying their best to attract BPO and especially call center services in Pakistan. Some initial success has been visible in this sector too. Now, you can find 123 international and domestic call centers in Pakistan and another 30 are coming very soon. To train up the workforce, Pakistan needs experts in this field and who can boast better success and experience in this field than India? That is why Pakistani companies are now trying their best to attract skilled call center and BPO professional from India to come to Pakistan and help training Pakistanis.
Normally Pakistan does not issue visa to the Indians very happily but for call center, Pakistan government is trying to be generous. Pakistani companies are also offering very lucrative salaries for the Indian professionals. Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad are the major places where call center is flourishing in Pakistan. All of these cities have modern facilities and that is why perhaps the Indian workers will have a good time.
This matter again reminds me of the new world order in which economic interest is overtaking political considerations. If this thing happened just ten years ago, politicians from both side of the border would start a campaign branding it as a conspiracy against the national interest. Now, most politicians from both in India and Pakistan will remain silent if not welcome it.

I think my country should indulge in pissin the pakistanis off. First of all, no one cares whether Pakistan grants MFN status to us. No one bothers but paki newspapers go about parading the news every 2 months like people give a damn.
