At last, Puma bosses realized that India is a very attractive market for the company. German sporting goods company, Puma has decided to open a chain of stores across India
Puma bosses are hopeful that this move will increase the market share for them in India and Puma wants to secure third position in Indian sports lifestyle sector in near future. Puma has set a revenue target of $1.05 billion from the Asia-Pacific region by 2010 and the company is hopeful that a good portion of this target will come from India
Indian people are really crazy for sports- especially for cricket. If Puma wants to shine in this market, it must take Cricket seriously. My suggestions for Puma are:
Sponsor cricket matches and tournaments.
Introduce products exclusively for cricket.
Come up with promotional activities with the message that Puma loves cricket.
