10 years ago, an unknown Indian by the name of Sabeer Bhatia along with Jack Smith launched a web based email called Hotmail and the rest is history. Mr. Hotmail (Sabeer Bhatia is often referred with this name) has remained a bit silent in the last few years after he sold Hotmail to Microsoft. It seems that he has made a strong comeback with his plan to create a “ Nano City ” in the Indian state of Haryana. He is now in serious discussion with the state government of Haryana and both of them are eager to build something similar to Silicon Valley . It is expected that after the project is finished, it will attract $2 billion of investment and create many job opportunities.

 Principal Secretary of Haryana and Financial Commissioner, Industries, PK Chaudhary informed the journalists that Internet connectivity, state-of-art institutes and world-class infrastructure would be the major attractions of the " Nano City ". Sabeer Bhatia told the journalist that it would take 5-10 years to get the benefit.

 I feel that Sabeer Bhatia is the right man to implement such a grand project. His experience of Hotmail will surely come handy here.
