A decade ago, there was hardly anyone who was a fan of diesel cars. Really, that time diesel car was not much fuel efficient on the on the hand while on the other hand they polluted the environment too much. However, thanks to new technology now diesel cars are both fuel efficient and environment friendly. In the blogging world and in the international media, in the recent times, we see a lot of coverage of diesel powered cars. That is why I feel that 2006 may turn out to be the year of diesel powered cars. Well, I do not know about other parts of the world but about India I strongly feel this way.
Maruti Udyog (MUL), is soon going to launch diesel powered cars in the Indian market and General Motors and Toyota are thinking about it seriously too. Tata Motors has already a good diesel powered car in the Indian market. Now, Hyundai Motor is hoping that by producing diesel powered cars, it will improve its market share in India. Wow, all the major names in Indian car industry are in the race to produce diesel powered cars. It is good for Indian environment I guess.
