![]() Indian economy is shining and especially in outsourcing sector India seems to be unstable and many people in the west are now afraid of Indian dominance in outsourcing like they are worried about Chinese monopoly in manufacturing. However, millions of people suffering from chronic diseases- seems to be the main challenge Indian economy in the coming days. I just read a painful report in The Economic Times titled 'A $257-bn question for the economy'. I am quoting here from the report:
"In 2005 alone, India lost $9 bn in national income from premature deaths due to heart disease, stroke and diabetes. Cumulatively, India stands to lose $237 bn over the next 10 years from premature deaths due to chronic diseases."
Eating a healthy diet, taking exercise regularly and leaving alone tobacco- only these 3 things can make all the difference in this regard- according to this report.
My suggestion to the Indian government is to come up with a massive campaign for making the common people aware about this terrible problem. The cricketers and the film actors should come forward to motive common people to change their lifestyle.
Do you have any other suggestion?
