![]() Every week, in this blog, I write about the investment of millions of dollars by foreign companies in Indian market and that is why when I saw this news item in several websites that America based Information Technology consulting firm Fujitsu Consulting was going to invest $20 million in India it did not make me excited. What made me excited was the matter that in the next two Fujitsu is going to hire 2,500 employees in India. 2,500 new jobs mean 2,500 families will be benefited in the country. The company currently has 1,000 employees in its Indian operations. Fujitsu recently bought Rapidigm India and now Fujitsu bosses see very bright prospect for India. Rapidigm India was a very successful IT & consulting firm in India and in 2005 Rapidigm India had revenue of $260 million.
McDonalds Corp., Intel Corp. and Lucent Technologies Inc. are some of the clients of Fujitsu and it will surely get many clients in India too in the coming days. This initiative of Fujitsu will only strengthen India's position as the number 1 outsourcing destination once again.
