![]() No doubt that Indian real estate sector is becoming mature and one sign of this maturity is the setting up of a research chair on real estate and urban studies at The Indian School of Business (ISB) in Hyderabad by Indu Projects, a Hyderabad-based real estate company. Under the agreement Indu Projects will provide $550,000 in 5 years for research.
Real estate sector in India is on the verge of having a huge boom but it is a reality that not too many researches have been carried out in this sector in India and if Indian real estate Indian companies want to compete with the rest of the world in the global market then there is no alternate to world class research. Thus, Indo Projects had taken a wise initiative and hopefully the investment will pay off in the long run. I think that this initiative of Indu Projects is a clear indication that the company is contemplating on the idea of expanding its operations in the global market. I hope that other large real estate companies in India will come forward and invest on research.
