![]() There are just 3 and a half years to go before the year 2010. In that year, India will emerge as the only young nation among the countries with sizable population in the world. In other words, in India in 2010, more people will earn money than those who will depend on them. And in 2015, the average age of Indian population will be 27 years compared to the Chinese average of 37 years. This information has come from JM Morgan Stanley study titled 'India and China: New Tigers of Asia'.
This means that India will have enough manpower for the next one decade at least to sustain high economic growth. However, here, I like to draw the attention of everyone of the fact that now 60 million of Indian children are malnourished and when they join the work force after 10-15 years, they will not be amohng the best work forces in the world. So, instead of celebrating, Indian decision makers from now should invest on improving the condition of the children.
Of course, Indian government has a huge potential to develop its economy as it will have the youngest work force in the world by 2010 and if India wants to make the best use of it must invest on the welfare of children

yes children is our future. We can become young country, but with low education and wealth, its the same as having a poor country.
Government must increase their budget on education and health.
