India and China both are now considered to be very attractive markets for foreign investors and some experts like Dan Harris are wondering: 'The Better Investment? China or India'. Go ahead and read the article as I find it to be extremely useful for those who are really interested about Asian Business. In my two blogs, I write about South Asian (India and its neighbors) and East Asia (China and its neighbors) and for me it is interesting to note the developments in these two places. About Indian business, most of the time I write about outsourcing related topics- American and European companies are outsourcing their jobs in the IT and ITES fields. On the other hand, about Chinese business, most of the time, I am writing about new investment coming in China in the manufacturing sector.
Thus, it seems to be a norm that China is flying high in manufacturing while Indians are becoming expert in IT outsourcing. The answer for original question (whether to invest in India or China) is easy enough- invest in manufacturing sector in China and invest in service sector (knowledge based outsourcing) in India. And foreign investment is coming in India and China in these two sectors in a weekly basis. Well, the condition is changing and in the next entry I am going to address this matter. So, be with me and read the next entry too.
