![]() While reading about this matter, I could not control my tears. According to World Food Programme (WFP), 12 million people (nearly 47% of the population) in Nepal suffer from hunger. Of them, 2 million are children. 1 million children even cannot go to school for poverty. WFP is organizing a global walk against hunger around the world and in Nepal 1,500 children and 500 adults are expected to join the walk. Right now, WFP supports 570,000 children with food through schools in 22 districts in Nepal. Well, I think that it is just one meal a day and I am not sure whether the children receive any food on weekends and holidays or not.
Unfortunately, the political crisis and Maoist rebellion of Nepal gets so much international media coverage that the hunger of 2 million children is almost all the time overlooked by the international media. Secondly, rock stars and other celebrities while arranging fund raising and charity events, mainly care for the African children and they often forget the plight of Asian children. So, everyday is just another hungry day for the Nepalese children.

What a bad situation Nepalese children are facing!
After reading your heart rendering article I felt sorrow for the Nepalese children. Children are the future of a country as well as a nation. All the hopes and anticipations of a country are rounded up with the children.
Here it is a good news that WFP is worlking for the shake of the children. The state of the Nepalese children is same to some other Southasian countries like Srilanka, Maldivs, Bangladesh, Pakistan and also soem parts of India.
So, the Southasian children should get some focus like the African children.
Thank you for giving focus on the reality of the Nepalese children.
Thank you for your visit. My response is posted there.
I look forward to reviewing your site and articles. There are some very real and valuable topics here.

Yes,
It is a disappointing story. Not only in Nepal there are also other countries where lots of children are suffering even in Bangladesh but their sufferings is not known to many people.
This is so sad. Children and adults are suffering all across the world from hunger, disease and famine. I pray that all will receive God's blessings and that governments will take a better interest in their people.

its a bit ironic to hear this news. There are hungry people everywhere in this globalization area. The wealth isnt for all, some people can easily dump their money to buy cellphone, but some can't buy rice.
hope God will help the children, anyway you can visit hungersite to help them.
