![]() Pacific Internet (PacNet) is a Singapore based Internet Service Provider and it operated in Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, India, the Philippines, Malaysia and Australia. The company is now actively contemplating the idea of entering in the Chinese market and expanding its operations in India and Indonesia. So, in Indian market, we will see some acquisition by PacNet. A few days ago, I informed you about Jerry Young's (of Yahoo) prediction that India would become among the top 3 Internet markers in the next 5 years. Pacnet's expansion plan will surely help to make Young's prediction come true.
Indian people still have very low internet access and there is huge potential for growth. Today, in my earlier post, I wrote that the number of mobile phone subscribers in India will cross 100 million in a month or two. Internet penetration is just 4.5%. Thus PacNet has decided in the right time to be in the right place.
Do you agree with me?
I think that more large ISPs will flock into the Indian market by 2006.

well this is a good news for both India and China. And the next another good news for both of them will appear again if their government make a simple regulation for investment ( on internet ) by other countries.
Some other countries in Asia also have good potential market, but the regulation to invest is to hard.
