Looking at the title, you may assume that the business conference will take place in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore or any other Indian city. Well, the Tata Indian Business Conference 2006 is going to take place at University of Chicago. The South Asia Business Group at The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business is going to arrange the conference on May 6, 2006. I came to know from a report published in Rediff.com that Tata has " bought the sponsor's title for this year's conference for $15,000 -- and Gururaj Deshpande, chairman of Sycamore Networks, will deliver keynote addresses, focusing on the theme 'Vibrant India: The Next Wave.'"
I visited the website for the conference and I am impressed to see the names as the sponsors. Infosys, Merrill Lynch, IDFC are some of the sponsors along with Tata. You can also know about the Keynote Addresses from this link.

The conference was really well organized and panel discussions helpful. I surely hope this continues and we have more such conferences in India as well as US.
