Tata Consultancy Service (TCS), one of the leading outsourcing firms of India, has won a contract with Saudi Telecommunication company and signed a joint venture with three Chinese companies. Under this new contract with Saudi Telecommunications Company, Tata will take care of billing and customer relationship. I am quoting from the report published in Chron.com:
The company has also signed a joint venture agreement with three Chinese firms to expand its operations in China.”
Recently, Indian IT sector is going through a tough time. Outsourcing market has reached a matured state, so the growth of the market will be slower compared to previous years. In addition, high salary of the IT workers and stories of poor quality service have created tension among clients and investors. I am hopeful that TCS’s achievements will work as leverage in restoring the faith of the investors and clients on Indian outsourcing industry.
