![]() Indian IT industry has already become perhaps the best place for Indian job seekers to look for jobs. If you are you educated and if you have sound technical skills, then you are sure to land in an IT company with a good salary sooner rather than later. In fact, IT companies in India (both foreign and local) are now worried about getting enough skilled people in the coming days. Now, the next big thing in the job market is going to be the retail industry. 1 million jobs are on the card here by 2010. Reliance is spearheading this industry and I am sure that some other players will enter into this sector as it is becoming an attractive one.
The shopping malls will require all kinds of workers- from cleaning the floors to managing them. Training these 1 million workers is another big deal. Reliance is planning to train them through e-learning. This is a challenging idea and I will surely keep an eye on how it goes. The good thing is that jobs in the retail industry will contain good salaries. That means that retail sector will be in a direct competition with the IT sector for getting bright and smart graduates in the next few years.
