Believe It or Not: The most Difficult e-commerce in the World
E-commerce was supposed to make our life easy. However, I am going to present you the most difficult way of carrying out e-commerce in the world. Just be patient and read the full story here and then you will discover why it is indeed the most difficult online shopping in the world.

Tshering Lham has all the qualities of a great entrepreneur. She started an online shop 5 years ago in Bhutan, a country with just few thousand of Internet users. High price of Internet bandwidth could not dampen her spirit. She worked very hard to make her online shop (Bhutan Online Store) a success. The design is excellent. She has a limited number of products to offer but they are very attractive and useful.  There are many people who are interested about her products. The products that she sells through net are:
Accessories
Bamboo Products
Herbal Products
Home Decor
Jewelry
Local Wear
Other Products
Stamps and Coins
Wood Works

So far so good! Bhutanese government did not create any problem for her either. However, her main problem is receiving the money and sending the product. If you want to buy something then you have to follow the following process:
  1. Fill up an order form. You have to state how you want to receive the goods (slowly by post or by fast by DHL).
  2. Then Bhutan Online Shop will send you an email telling you the price.
  3. You have to send the money to the company by Western Union and you have to bear the cost of sending the money.
  4. Then this company will send you the product.

Wow, now can you understand how complicated e-commerce is. Poor Tshering Lham! Often the price of sending the product is more than double of the product itself. And if you have used Western Union then you must know that sending a small amount of money can become expensive. Problem is that Bhutan does not have credit card facility yet.
Now, do you agree with me that it is indeed the most difficult e-commerce in the world? As a result, Tshering Lham is only losing her business although there is strong demand for her products.
