This are the opening lines of John Keats’ famous poem “Ode to Autumn.” Well friends, autumn season starts from September in England. If Keats had written this poem in the autumn of 2006, then he could not have escaped the beauty of Miss World 2006!! It had been a great source of inspiration!! I can bank on it!! From the beginning, the Miss World beauty contest has dazzled viewers with beauty and glamour and this year is no exception. Till now, India is the best performer in Asia pacific region. Indian models have won five Miss World Contest.
“Live like there’s no tomorrow and Love like you will live forever.” this is the motto of Natasha Suri, the participant from India in Miss World 2006 beauty contest. Twenty two year old Natasha has completed her BA in Management from Jai Hind College, Mumbai. After finishing her education, she started working in her father’s garments export business. However, her ambition is to study fashion designing. She dreams of starting her own clothing line. A firm believer in God, Natasha’s hobbies are dancing, cooking, and reading. She likes to listen to Indian classical songs, romantic, and hip-hop.
As a model, Natasha has done ramps for famous Indian designers like Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Rana Gill, Shantanu and Nikhil, Narendra Kumar, Suneet Verma and Rina Dhaka. Her ad campaigns include Elle, Femina, Man’s World and Seventeen

Before coming to the Miss World contest, Natasha participated and won Pond’s Femina Miss India- World 2006. She also won Miss Country Club 2003, and Miss Enchante 2003. In the Pond’s Femina Miss India Contest she won the title ‘Miss Beautiful Smile.’
According to the latest news, Natasha has become the first runner up in Miss World Beach Wear and Second runner up in Miss World Dress Designer. The final contest will be held at Warsaw, Poland on 30th September. After winning the two contests, Natasha said that it was just great to be chosen out of so many girls all of whom were equally stunning.
In the dress designer contest, Natasha wore a gown designed by famous designer Hemant Trivedi. Natasha requested him to make it blue, because it is her lucky color and definitely it is!!
