Bhutan Weblog Selling Laptops: A Pioneering Effort
I must admit that I am a big fan of Bhutan Weblog, the blog from Bhutan. I often visit the blog and read many of entries submitted by Bhutanese people form home and abroad. The blog is updated round the clock and it contains a huge number of entries. Marinating such a blog is an expensive affair. The worst thing is that in South Asia, hardly anyone can earn money with their blogs and Bhutan is perhaps the last place on earth about this matter. So, to meet some of the expenses the owner of Bhutan Weblog has started to sell IBM ThinkPad Laptops. Now, when you go to the home page of Bhutan Weblog, you can find an ad at the top the home page and every page in this blog. I know Norbu has done it just to earn some money but by doing, he has become a pioneer for South Asian bloggers.

To inform you about the selling of laptops, I am quoting from the blog:
Why does kuzuzangpo.com want to sell Laptops?
We offer these small sales to earn some sort of revenue margin to cover our cost of operating kuzuzangpo.com website and to keep us going forward.

Why IBM ThinkPad Laptops?
I (NORBU) have been using IBM ThinkPad laptops for the last few years. For me, they offer the best experience. I recommend them to my friends. All of them who bought laptops chose IBM ThinkPad and are very happy users. However, I do not deny there may be other equally good or better laptops around that I am not aware of.

How do you place order and make payment?
Below, we have different models of popular IBM ThinkPad laptops. We have a variety to fit your needs and budget. Choose a model of a laptop you are interested in and email to us at info@kuzuzangpo.com. We will reply the detail about how and where (our IT licensed agent) to make payment at. A full payment is mandatory before we can process your order.”

In South Asia, many people have decent skill of English language and many of them are interested about writing in Internet. Norbu’s success will surely inspire them. However, Norbu did not go for any shortcut. First, he worked extremely hard to make his blog popular and then now he is trying to generate some revenue. I wish him all the success in it. I hope that this story inspires some of the South Asian bloggers too.

I have a Thinkpad T42p for work, and I love it. I think
it's the same as the T42, except it has a better graphics chipset,
and the 1600x1200 screen. It's nice and fast yet still very lightweight.
