After music and photo, it is time for instant messaging (IM) and e-mails. According to Nokia, sending instant message and e-mails will be the next big wave in the Indian mobile industry.
Alex Lambeek, Vice President of Nokia sales and market operations said that they are looking at Indian ISPs with good infrastructure in IM and e-mail. The mobile giant is expecting to hold their leading position in the Indian market through offering these services.
Now days, instant messaging has become very popular all over the world. In the corporate world, the use of instant messaging has increased significantly in the last few years. The 3GSM World Congress is the biggest gathering of mobile phone operators in the world. In the annual gathering of 2006 in Barcelona, the mobile operators told the reporters that instant messaging is the next big thing in the cell phone industry. Here is an excerpt of that report:
“BARCELONA European and Asian mobile phone operators, in a bold but risky move to bolster sales of data services, announced a plan Monday to introduce worldwide "instant messaging" via cellphone.
The messages would be an advance on the simple text exchanges that cellphone users now send by the billions every day at a cost of about 10 to 15 cents each. In theory, they would instantly show which subscribers are "online," they would be delivered instantly, and they would appear as complete dialogues on a mobile phone's screen.
In a rare group appearance, the chief executives of five of Europe's biggest mobile phone operators, plus executives of China Mobile and the Indian company Bharti Tele-Ventures, told reporters at the 3GSM World Congress that they were working to make what they are calling Personal IM usable across their different networks within a matter of months.”
I could not find any latest report about the condition of IM and e-mail service over mobile phones in India but according to this report published in CNet, last year, BPL and Airtel, launched e-mail and MSN messenger service. BPL subscribers with Hotmail accounts could receive and send e-mails and use the MSN messenger to send messages using the SMS platform.
I think that day is not far when we would possibly be doing all our necessary works by pressing the buttons of our cell phones instead of hitting our computer keyboards. Using a small device like cell phone to communicate with friends and sending messages is very comfortable and time saving. However, there always lies the question of security and safety. How safe the whole process would be? No matter how impressive the whole thing looks, safety and security comes first. I hope that the mobile companies along with other issues will also focus on safety as well.

next big industry will be space becasue the aiplane made it how does it fly? like this space will be fly with car.
