![]() South Asia may lack many things but it has one thing a lot- huge population. SO, people of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka go to foreign countries in large number. Now, it is the time of Nepal to join the party and more and more Nepalese people are now trying to go abroad to change their fortune. There has been significant increase in the number of people going abroad in the recent months. People's Daily Online wrote:
“Foreign employment continues to be the big charm for Nepali youth, as the number of people leaving the country for jobs abroad increased by over 25 percent in the first two months of the current fiscal year starting in mid-July.
The new statistics from the Department of Labor and Employment Promotion (DoLEP) Thursday showed that approximately 557 people left Nepal every day in search of greener pastures in foreign lands during the period.
According to DoLEP, 33,445 people left the country for foreign employment, up from 26,600 people during the same period last year.
Nepali workers mostly leave for 13 different destinations with 48 percent opting for Malaysia as their working destination.”
On an average, everyday, 557 persons left Nepal and out of them, 275 left the country for Malaysia. Nepalese people are hardworking and honest. Malaysia is an attractive destination for unskilled and semi skilled people of South Asia. Many people from Bangladesh are in the country too.
