South Asian countries are the major producers of tea in the world. India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are among the leading producers of tea in the world. Thousands of people are involved in this sector for their livelihood in these countries. Tea contributes to foreign exchange earning of these countries too. So, any news on tea is of great importance to the people of this region. I am happy to see this news in Yahoo: Beat stress, drink tea.
This is a good sign for the tea industry. In the last few weeks, this is the second positive news about tea that I have covered in this blog. Hopefully, this will create a stronger demand for tea in the international market.
Well, I wish that all the major tea producing countries could set up some sort of a media agency to ensure promotion of tea in the international market. Tea is useful and the consumers need to hear it more often.
I think consumers *do* hear it pretty often, at least in the US. I often seen articles on the benefits of tea (usually green tea).
