Cadbury: The confectionary giant is now under fire

“Kya Swad hai Zindagi Main” (How tasty life is!!!) many of you might remember this famous message of Cadbury chocolate ads. Life is definitely tasty but when you find some worms inside your chocolate than it becomes really distasteful. That is just what happened with Cadbury. I am quoting from the report published in Khaleej Times.com:

Confectionery giant Cadbury’s was asked to pay 15,000 rupees (335 dollars) to a man who found worms and fungus in chocolate he gifted to a friend, a report said on Wednesday.

Cadbury India Limited was dogged by similar charges in 2003 when worms were found in many chocolates -- hitting sales and prompting the company to launch a massive publicity campaign involving Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan.

“The question ... is why a small person, who purchased a birthday gift, would file a case against a multi-national company and litigate for a small amount” unless he was genuine, the Press Trust of India said, citing the court order.

The court rejected the company’s argument that the product was not stored in a cool place.

Few days ago, it was Coca cola and Pepsi that faced serious problems when allegation of containing pesticides was brought against them. Six states banned the two company’s drinks. Now, we are seeing worms in Cadbury chocolates. These incidents are really very damaging to these companies. What is irritating is that instead of taking necessary steps, the company is blaming the retail        store's cooling system. This is not a good thing to do. Coca Cola and Pepsi too did not pay attention to the allegations and now they have lost the good will of Indian consumers. I think, Cadbury should listen to the consumers and make sure that such incidents do not happen again.

Proposed Road Map of SAU

. Marching a step ahead to form South Asian Union (SAU) is good sign for the people of the region. We may be of different cultures, religions, languages etc but we all are human and descendents or genealogy of first parents-Adam and Eve (p.b.u.t.).
We all have to come closer and make ourselves ambitious to lay down the foundation of the Union. Proposed 44 countries are mentioned below:
Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Turkey, Cyprus, Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, , Brunei, China, Mongolia, North Korea, South Korea, Japan and Philippine.

Process of South Asian Union (SAU) Implementation

1. Forming union by including 44 countries as mentioned above.
2. The Nations of the region can form South Asian Parliament by approving the appointment of Presidents, Kings, Prime ministers, Foreign ministers, Home ministers, Defense ministers & ministers for trade & commerce as members of the SAU parliament.
3. Establishing a powerful single currency like EURO, for example South Asian Currency (SACU) or dollar or any other selected by the forum. And valuation can be fixed by averaging the currency values of the nations concerned.
4. Abolishing visa system in order to promote traveling freely, and adopting free trade among the regional countries.
5. Forming a joint military council to establish security of state, countries of the union & for common people.
6. Paving ways for the people of the Union to seek jobs according to their capabilities.
7. Making good uses of cultural and sports organizations through which the participating nations can establish their identity to understand each other.
8. Funding should be made by member nations to establish Research Centers for medicines, incurable diseases, and science & technology for the benefit of general people.
9. Establishing Bank such as Union Bank of South Asia to educate mass population, provide fund for natural disaster. Also making ways to drive homeless and astray people into employment through cottage industries to make their livelihood better so as to stop them from becoming smugglers, miscreants, or terrorists.
10. Regarding child labor, concrete steps should be taken by providing free education established by the Union in the form of NGO. Orphans to be included in this establishment.
11. Each state should be responsible to stop smuggler from drug/ arms trafficking. Also find ways to stop women & children trafficking.
12. State to State disputes should be resolved for the best interest of the people. If necessary, the SAU may be called in the process of settlement.

My Appeals to all nations of the world

We should start inter religion dialogue and try to find out similarities among our self. We must get similarities in our all religions, in all over the world, if we can sacrifice for each other to establish peace forever. No religion teaches to harm others. God given us guide of peace prosperity by his instruction to humankind in his first human creation by Prophet Adam to this universe for a single human family, universal human family are started to harm to each other, created various type hostility, hating, dividing, killing, violence, in the name of religion, ideology, personal ambition, state power, politics etc. in sense of God’s human creation. Universal human family should stop all inhuman activities immediately.

Dhaka-Chittagong new expressway proposal to all

THE news about the proposed four-lane Dhaka-Chittagong Expressway that was published in some national dailies was welcome. This is more particularly so, because it is expected to be constructed, as the reports said, by a Malaysian company. We would like to see Bangladesh's road & highway sector being developed and modernised, as was done in the case of Malaysia. In this connection, I would like to propose an idea relating to the proposed Dhaka-Chittagong expressway.

We now reach Chittagong in six to seven hours' time by crossing 264 km distance from Dhaka. If we can build a short highway of 180 km from Dhaka to Chittagong, and drive at 90 km speed per hour, then we can reach Chittagong within two hours from Dhaka.

The construction cost for a straight and smooth road will be less than that of zigzag-type ones. This road should facilitate tourism and business and attract both local and foreign tourists. The coastal belt area will become the tourist zone when the road will pass by the sea beach as is the case in many foreign countries. It will also provide good opportunities for maximising the benefits from the Asian highway.

In this connection, the proposed road should run from Dhaka to the south-east, connecting Keraniganj-Narayanganj-Bondor over Shitalakkhay and the Meghna rivers. After the two bridge crossings, we can directly arrive, via the north of Matlab, Hajiganj-Shaharasti- Laksham and then proceed through Shenbagh-Dagonbhuiyan to the south of Sonagazi. Following that, we can cross the coastal belt via the last point of the river Feni in the south (a new bridge over the river Feni in the south may be constructed.) Then the road will enter the south-west zone of Mirersharai coastal belt before reaching Chittagong by crossing a total distance of 180 km. If Sylhet can now be four hours' journey from what was earlier a 10/12-hour one, then why cannot Chittagong become a two-hour journey by modifying the road?
