When it comes to tourism, Pakistan is not exactly the place that comes to our mind. Well, most of the time, we see political issues and violence of dominating media headlines about Pakistan. However, the reality is that Pakistan is very rich when it comes to tourism. Whether you are looking for a historical place or a place of natural beauty, Pakistan has plenty to offer. The good thing is that Pakistani government is now becoming serious about promoting the tourism sector to the outside world. Year long ‘Destination Pakistan 2007’ program is going to start from later this week. This program is going to be organized by Tourism Ministry.

If you are interesting to know about the different attractions of the year then you can take a look at the report of Pakistan Times in this regard. I am quoting from the report:
She said the government was promoting religious tourism. A large number of Buddhists and Sikhs visited their religious places in Pakistan every year.
She said Pakistan had the famous Silk Route, six out of eight highest peaks in the world and the Indus Valley civilisation. She also appreciated the efforts of Prince Karim Aga Khan for building hotels and resorts in northern Pakistan, adding that more hotel chains were willing to operate in the major cities, especially in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad.
So, if you have never been to Pakistan, may be you should seriously contemplate on the idea of going to this country on 2007.
Pakistan surely is a cool place to Visit. INdia and Bangladesh too. So, visit South Asia.
