Nepalese King Gyanendra is a very unhappy man these days. Only a year ago, he was all in all
King Gyanendra is unhappy and worried and sometimes he seeks refuse in online gambling. However, thanks to the prediction of an influential astrologer of
Tilak Raj, a professional astrologer who last year predicted a multi-party government would come to power in
Nepal to end the growing violence following King Gyanendra’s power grab, says stray violence will continue to plagueand indeed, the rest of the world. Nepal “The new year has arrived with a strong Saturn and Moon,” Raj told IANS. “Therefore, war and battles will continue to erupt in different regions. Though
has seen the worst of violence, bombs and bullets will continue and lives will be lost.” Nepal In spite of the Maoist guerrillas trying to rouse public opinion against King Gyanendra, who became immensely unpopular after his 15-month authoritarian government, the astrologer predicts people will not vote out the monarch.”In 2007, the king’s birth signs will be in ascendance as well as his planet Jupiter. Religious organisations at home and abroad will bring pressure to save monarchy.”

Well, I am not an astrologer and I cannot predict the future. However, I am not so hopeful about the future of King Gyanendra. No matter who party wins the general election, they will try their best to curb the power of the monarchy. Nepalese history of the last few decades have seen history repeating itself again and again with the Kings making the life of the politicians a living hell. Perhaps, the time has come for the politicians to get some revenge.
In the end, it totally depends on the people to keep King Gyanendra and the monarchy alive or not. So, King Gyanendra better focus more on winning the heart of the people than that the of the astrologers.
