Because of its success in IT, India has observed a growth in internet and internet based businesses and services. Searching jobs is one of the most common things for the Indians on the net. When it comes to searching jobs, the name, Naukri.com, is the first to come in one’s mind. Now days, there are many job websites in India but Naukri is one of the top jobsites.  

Primary information about Naukri.com:

Naukri.com was established in 1997 by Sanjeev bhikchandani. It was the first of its kind to be established in India. Within two years of its establishment, the website started to make profit. The company started their magazine in 2003 about jobs and careers.

After browsing the net, I have found out that naukri.com is equally loved and hated by many Indians.  

Good features of Naukri.com:

a)  People liked it because of its simple layout. There are small images; so, it uploads pretty quickly. Good content is the main strength of this website.

b)  Service and charges:

i)      The website has both free and premium services. 

ii)    Because of its low charge and popularity all the leading companies in India post their ads in this site.  

c)   The jobs in the lists are genuine. It offers a large number of jobs to the Indians. Unlike some other websites that posts jobs for only large companies. Naukri posts jobs for all kinds of companies. Jobs can be searched according to function, location, and employer.  

d)  Job lists are updated regularly.

e)  Jobseekers do not have to register to search jobs.  

f)    One can post their resumes for free.

g)  If you are an IT professional, then Naukri is a very good website. It posts quality IT jobs in reputed companies in India and abroad.

Bad features:

a)  The user interface is not that good.

b)  The design of home-page and other pages do not have any consistency.

c)   Not very technically advanced.

d)  Too many links and pictures are placed on the homepage which has degraded the user experience of the site.

e)  The quality and quantity of resumes are high but it is difficult to find people with rare skills.

f)    Search engine of this website is not a good experience.

g)  Some say that the jobs are not neatly categorized.

h)  One of the major complaints of people is that they have posted their resumes for a long period of time but did not get any response.

i)      Very hard to keep track of jobs and resumes.
