'Eklavya - The Royal Guard' is going to his the screen this week. It is a come back film for Vidhu Vinod Chopra and it is expected to be a crowd puller in the box office. I am sure that the people of Rajasthan would love to see this movie becoming a block buster not just for the fact that Eklavya was shoot in Rajasthan but also if the movie becomes a blockbuster than it can help the tourism sector of the state. In the recent months, some other Bollywood directors have taken a keen interest on Rajasthan.

Daily India reported:
Starring the legendary Amitabh Bachchan in the title role, 'Eklavya' is set in historically rich Rajasthan and was extensively shot in Devigarh and Jaipur.
It seems Bollywood is drawn towards the land of sand dunes in a big way. J.P. Dutta's 'Umrao Jaan' was also shot in the same state, which provided a perfect ambience with its architectural splendour and cultural heritage.
Currently Ashutosh Gowariker and Goldie Behl are stationed there with the cast and crew of their films - 'Jodha-Akbar' and 'Drona', respectively.
The success of 'Eklavya - The Royal Guard' will create an interest about Rajasthan and Jaipur. Many NRIs would love to spend some money and visit Jaipur. I would also love to see more people traveling Rajasthan as it would generate more jobs in the state.
In this blog, Mehdi wrote about some of the tourist attractions of Jaipur. I am quoting from his entry:
Jaipur is a great place for international tourists. The city has a rich cultural background and there are many forts, temples, lakes around the city.
- Amber Fort: Built in 1727 this fort is located 11 kilometers from the city. It bears the glory of Kachhawa clan.
: Built during the reign of Raja Sawai Singh in the city center, a portion of the palace is still occupied by the royal family. City Palace - Gaitore: Situated about 15 kilometers from Jaipur, this is a cenotaph of the Maharajas belonged to Sawai Jai Singh II.
- Hawa Mahal: One of the best land marks of Jaipur, Hawa Mahal is actually built for the royal ladies. This magnificent building was built in 1799 by King Sawai Pratap Singh. The building contains 953 windows.
