Netherlands selectors have declared their World Cup Cricket squad for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2007. Though Netherlands does not have a long tradition of playing in the international level, they had some excellent cricketers who played in the County Cricket of England. Daan van Bunge is an all rounder who opens the innings and bowls leg spin. He has played in the U 15 world cup and in the U 17 team for Netherlands in different tours. Bunge played for Middlesex in County Cricket. Bastiaan Zuiderent, one of the best batsmen in the history of Dutch cricket, has been the most reliable batsman in the squad. He played for the Sussex.

The Netherlands cricket team is:
LP van Troost (Captain), Adeel Raja, PW Borren, TBM de Leede, MBS Jonkman, AN Kervezee, Mohammad Kashif, DJ Reekers, E Schiferli, J Smits (wicketkeeper), WF Stelling, ES Szwarczynski, RN ten Doeschate, DLS van Bunge, B Zuiderent
Netherlands first played in the 1996 World Cup Cricket tournament but failed to impress anyone. However, in 1999, they could not qualify for the World Cup Cricket. Then, in 2003, they again got the ticket of World Cup Cricket and failed to impress us. This time, we do not have any high expectation from Netherlands.
