JobsNet is an implementation of initiative 7 of the National Employment Policy of Sri Lanka. “Creating an Employment Sourcing and Delivery System”. The National Employment Sourcing and Delivery System of Sri Lanka is referral system benefiting jobseekers, local and foreign employers and self employment seekers by providing referrals for jobs, training, information, advice and career guidance. It is an online referral system with a web interface at www.jobsnet.lk The project is a Public sector Private sector Partnership(PPP). As a National Project the Ministry of Labor Relation and Foreign Employment(MoLRFE) representing the public sector joins hands with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce(CCC). harnessing the support and active participation of the private sector in this unique partnership. The International Labor Organisation(ILO) provides technical support to the project. The project is funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida), up to year 2007.
