Aishwarya Rai + Vivek Oberoi = A match made on Earth

Aishwaray Rai met Vivek Oberoi after she ended up with Salman Khan. Although Aishwarya never mentioned clearly about her relationship with Vivek Oberoi, Vivek openly talked about their relationship. The couple caught journalists’ radar after they spent a night in disco in Kolkata in 2002. Vivek Oberoi has established himself as an actor with lots of potential. His two movies: Company and Saathiya were successful. Aishwarya just finished his tumultuous relationship with Salman Khan. Vivek Oberoi on the other hand just finished his relationship with his long time girl friend model Gurpreet Gill.

Vivek Oberoi and Aishwarya Rai’s romance took off after they worked in Kyo Ho Gaya Na? Aishwarya says that she never feels very comfortable kissing her fellow actors on the screen, in this movie she kissed Vivek Oberoi. Surprisingly, her lip lock with Hrithik Roshan upset the Bachchan family and they censored it. After Kyo Ho Gaya Na?, the two were seen together in various social events. In April 2003, another event shook Bollywood. Vivek Oberoi brought allegations against Salman Khan. He called a press conference in his house and told the journalists that Salman Khan called him over the phone, abused him and threatened him. The tragic part of the story was that many Bollywood personalities did not like Vivek Oberoi’s approach. They said that he was doing a publicity stunt. If he had any problem with Salman Khan then he should not make a big scene out of it. He should have gone to Salman Khan and sorted it privately.

In the mean time, Aishwarya became busy with her Hollywood projects. Although Vivek Oberoi expressed his feelings for her, she never thought her more than as a friend. The love story finally came to an end in 2005.
