Bangladesh vs New Zealand: Historic Win for Bangladesh

Today, thousands of Bangladeshi people will surely celebrate the victory of their national cricket team against New Zeeland in a warm-up game in Bridgetown. Bangladesh defeated New Zealand by 2 wickets.

Stuff reported:

They were beaten by Bangladesh by two wickets with an over to spare at the 3Ws Stadium just outside Bridgetown after tail-ender Mashrafe Mortaza blasted three sixes in a whirlwind 30 from 14 balls to chase down a 227 target.

The result stopped New Zealand's pre-World Cup momentum in its tracks. They had arrived in the Caribbean with confidence flying high after beating world champions Australia 3-0 only last month.

"There's not a lot we can say, I guess it's a result that just shakes you up," Fleming told a news conference.

This is a historic win for Bangladesh and Bangladeshi fans would love to see their team defeating some other countries in World Cup Cricket 2007. Mashrafe Mortaza was the hero of the match in the end. However, earlier, A Razzak took 4 Kiwi wickets for just 26 runs from his 10 overs. Bangladesh is in Pool B along with India, Sri Lanka and Bermuda. Now, we have to see if Bangladesh can cause a major upset in this group.

On the other hand, this is a shocking defeat for New Zealand. New Zealand just white washed Australia a few days ago in ODI series.

What a magnificant victory it is for the Bengal tigers. I think it will boost up their confidence in the world cup. On the other hand, it is a silent threat to Indian and Sri Lanka, the two group members of Bangladesh cricket team.

It is now true that Bangladesh has developped their level in the after the last world cup under the coaching of Dev Watmore. Now, I would like to say WHAT MORE!!!
