
Many people are involved with World Cup Cricket. So, food is a big issue for these people. Fortunately, some people are taking care of food safety in World Cup 2007. I found a press release in this regard in PR Newswire.

A programme of extensive and intensive training in food handling has been executed across the region for food handlers Cricket World Cup 2007 venues.
All caterers inside the venues are trained to the same high standard across the region and have received official certification. The aim of the programme is to ensure that the thousands of fans coming to the Caribbean can enjoy a complete
"Food safety is being treated with the same level of seriousness and professionalism for the Cricket World Cup as security or any other aspect of this historic event in the Caribbean," said Ms. Veta Browne, Coordinator for the Public Health Sub-programme with CARICOM IMPACS, who worked on the project.
More than 1,000 caterers who registered an interest in the food and beverage operation for CWC 2007 have now received training and certification. This includes Kentucky Fried Chicken, the only international franchise to have gained access to the CWC 2007 food and beverage programme.
