India vs Bermuda: India Wins by 257 Runs

India desperately needed to win this match and India has won this match with a huge margin. In replying to 413 runs of India, Bermudan batsmen fell 257 runs. I cannot remember of any match of World Cup in which India won in such an impressive manner. India totally demolished Bermuda in today’s match. Millions of Indians were awaked until late night and watched the match.

Indian bowlers did a splendid job. They did not allow Bermudan batsmen any space and from the first over they put India in control. Zaheer, Kumble and Agarkar bowled extremely well and among them, got most of wickets of Bermudan innings.

Earlier in the day, Indian batsmen played extremely well and scored 413 runs. I wrote a lunch report in this blog and I am quoting from that entry:

India scored 413 Runs for 5 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. This is what happens when all the batsmen of Indian top order shines at the same time. Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Saurav Ganguly and Yuvraj Singh competed against each other to play well and score more runs. In the end, they made:

Virender Sehwag-114

Sourav Ganguly-89

Yuvraj Singh -83

Sachin Tendulkar- 57

A few records were tumbled in the end. India broke the score of highest runs in World Cup Cricket. India also scored their highest in ODI. Virender Sehwag and Sourav Ganguly built a massive partnership in the morning. Sehwag was completely aggressive and he scored very quickly. Ganguly continued his good performance. After Sehwag and Ganguly departed, Yuvraj and Tendulkar continued the onslaught and even increased the pace of scoring runs.

Yuvraj scored his 83 runs of just 46 balls. Sehwag was in a very destructive mood today. He was eager to silence the critics who called for keeping him out of the Indian team during World Cup Cricket 2007. If Sehwag can continue his form then it will be great for Team India in the coming days. Yuvraj was perhaps the best batsman of the Indian innings.

The only thing that I was not happy today was fielding of Indian players. It needs to improve more. India will play against Sri Lanka in the final match of World Cup Cricket 2007. Indian players really need to improve in this department if they want to win World Cup Cricket 2007.

Winning or losing is quite common but consistency should be there. Not only indian, all the cricket fans are eagerly waiting the result of Indian team. In batting order if India stands upto 50 overs, it will win all the matches.
