Dear Sir/madam,

My name is Natalie Edgar and i live in Perth, Western Australia. My husband(Simon) and i are HUGE cricket fans. When our beautiful son was born on the 18/12/06 we called him Sachin, after Sachin tendulkar- the great! He was born 7 weeks early and after a 4 week stay in the neonatal intensive care unit at St John of God Hospital he was finally allowed to come home.
He is now doing extremely well. sahin has a sister that is only 11 months older than him.
We were wondering if there was anything you could give to him, or us as a family. To celebrate his birth.
We wish the Indian cricket team the best of luck for the world cup and we will be watching closely.

Hi, I don't know whether this column is the right one for sending emails to the indian cricket team for the awesome performance on the opening match of the world cup 2007.

I am sure indian cricket team went to play cricket and not to enjoy holi festival. They are in the position of the getting good name for the country, and these players are gifted to get the chance to play for the indian cricket team. One Billion viewers are watching cricket all over the world. But they are failing to win. If it is a bangladesh tour to india, we can accept the fact that players are cool. How is that possible for the indian cricket team to lose the opening match that too with bangladesh who don't have a very good exposure in the international cricket. This seems to be really irresponsible and they are not dedicated.

Better if this is going to continue with bermuda and other games in the world cup, why is that the population of indian is spending their money to send this team to play the world cup matches. Better we can drop all these things and we can save money and spend for some poor people. All the player have name, money, they are rich, they will take all the benefits from the people from india but they will not play cricket.

Hats off to saurav ganguly who is really showing who he is, that should be the commitment. I would suggest as the citizen of india, that indian team should be very careful while playing the game, they should see their own advertisements which they have given for pepsi company. It shows not only to drink pepsi, but the main thing it shows that so many peeople are there believing this 11 membered team. So come on india, come on india, come on india. The whole indian population is waiting for the world cup victory and the trophy to be lifted by Rahul and team.

WHY ONLY SEHWAG WHY NOT OTHERS WHO KEEP PERFORMING WELL, WHY IRFAN IS NOT GIVEN CHANCE AS ALL ROUNDER IN PLACE OF AJIT AGARKAR AT LEAST HE CAN SCORE 40 TO 50 RUNS WHICH INDIA IS ALWAYS SHORT OF AND LOOSE MATCH

NOW WHERE DO WE GO OR BETTER WE COME BACK AND PLAY CRICKET IN STREET RATHER THAN WORLD CUP.

THEY HAVE ENOUGH MONEY THEY ARE NOT BOTHERED ABOUT THE FEELINGS OF MILLIONS OF INDIANS WHO DIE TO SEE THEM WINNING. AND GIVE THEM LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY.

It's time for the old cricket player to say bye bye and take rest at home.The Indian Govt is unnecessarily wasting tax payers money towards these players.

New players should get a chance to perform in the international team and show their talent. Even if they loose it's not going to make any differnece or we the spectator will not feel a sudden disaster as we are feeling now. Now-a-days a game is not a game......

loss and wining the game is part of game and v pakistani people and indian take it emotionaly and many death casues due to this situation,so i requested all the people of pakistan and india dont hurt coz both the teams play very bad and irresponsible, india against bangladesh and pakistan against Ireland...

the main and first option while playing the cricket like southe afrcian and austrlia, they make attacking game against weak teams, so there is no doubt that they will win, but india and pakistan make underpressure thereselves against such weak teams,so come with full aggressive mode and form against such teams.

I have been closely watching the England and West Indies test serious recently in UK. I genuinely think that England team has got some good players even though the West Indies were very young and lacked experience. As Vaughan is retiring from one day internationals as captain I still have doubts in my mind why don’t he stay on for the series with India this month. I still think with out a coach India can well beat England if they keep in mind the line and length of Hoggard, Harmison and Sidebottom as they are coached by Donald, good attention to Monty. Please do not be over confident and be yourself and take responsibility.

i am a huge cricket fan and i have been watching the india test match series and India verses England ODI's and India are doing a great job in scoring runs and taking wickets. i do admit that Dravid made a bad decision in fielding first in the first match but the way you played on friday was amazing. you took many wickets and scored over 300 runs and England couldn't even win that match since you won by 9 runs.well done!!! Overall, India, you are the best team and you have an amazing team so there's no excuse for not scoring runs (except when umpires give false shout's saying it's out when it is not out) and taking wickets.you can do it India, every Indian supporter has faith in you. so win. we all know you can win but even if you dont you should be happy that you made a huge progress in the team and choose the right players for the teams.
Come on India. You can do it.
