If you ask my opinion then I can say without any doubt that Sir Garfield Sobers is the greatest allrounder in the history of cricket. So, naturally, I am very happy to see that Sir Garfield Sobers is going to officially open World Cup Cricket 2007. The opening ceremony will take place on 11 March 2006.

It has been confirmed that West Indies legend Sir Garfield Sobers will officially open the 2007 Cricket World Cup in the
Caribbean. A former all-rounder and West Indies Captain, Sobers scored more than 8,000 runs and took 235 wickets in 93 tests before retiring in 1974, just one year before the first World Cup took place.
Sir Garfield Sobers has impressive record as an allrounder and I am sure that many fans will be happy to see him opening World Cup Cricket 2007.

It is really a great opportunity for the audiences opening ceremony. Like me who did not see the Gre sisis in the play ground as an all-rounder, it will fill as small amount of anyone’s aspection?
