Pantaloons presents it Miss India 2007 collection

Pantaloons, one of the largest retailers of India and title sponsor of Miss India 2007 competition, presented their “Miss India 2007 collection” in a fashion show held at JW Marriot Hotel in Mumbai. The main theme of the collection was “Haldi-Gulal,” red and yellow. The clothes have been designed to wear in the summer season.

The twenty five finalists of Miss India 2007 draped in yellow and red dresses fired up the ramp. I am quoting from the report published in fibreto fashion.com:

In a dazzling fashion show held at Hotel JW Marriot, Mumbai, Pantaloons Fresh Fashions unveiled the ‘Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2007 Collection’, its spring-summer collection inspired by the colours of Haldi-Gulal.

Walking the ramp in an exclusive preview of the collection, were 25 dazzling finalists of the ‘Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2007’ pageant.

Also blazing the ramp for the finale of the evening was the current Bollywood heartthrob and Pantaloons brand ambassador, Zayed Khan. Shibani Kashyap, well known singer and composer, entertained the guests during the evening, lending her vocal skills to variety of indo-western tracks.

The ‘Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2007 Collection’ is inspired by the colours of ‘Haldi-Gulal’ – a riot of reds, yellows & fuchsias, the colours of this season. Pantaloons believes that this collection is a tribute to the culture of India, to it’s people & to their zest for life.

On the show, Zayed Khan wearing a bright yellow attire walked with the contestants.

Pantaloon’s fashion collection contains both western and traditional dresses such as knit and woven topwear with skirts, capris, city pants and jeans; kurtis, tops, chudidars and ghagroos. Pretty soon the dresses will be available at different stores.

Pantaloons’ CEO, Sanjeev Agrawal said that his organization is proud to launch such a collection that celebrates the beauty and talent of the contestants of the Miss India pageant.
