It was not only Amitabh Bachchan who was upset with his future daughter-in-law’s kissing Hrithik on the screen. Long time ago, before Amitabh Bachchan, there was this lawyer named Shailendra Dwivedi who lives in Indore. One day, he went to the theatres with kids to watch Hindi movie. Unfortunately, the name of the movie was Dhoom2. He did not know that the movie was not appropriate for children. So when Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan were kissing, he felt very awkward. He felt that such a scene is very derogatory to the women of India. He then filed a case of obscenity against Dhoom2. His allegation was two fold; vulgarity, and derogation of Indian women.

Unfortunately, after the news of his case against Dhoom2, he was flooded with phone calls and SMS messages. Journalists said that he has done this to get publicity. He believes that he has been misunderstood. While talking with the reporter of rediff, Syed Firdaus Ashraf, he said that, he does not take any calls from unknown phone numbers anymore. It is not the first time he has filed a case like this. Previously, he brought allegations against, J.P.Dutta’s LOC Kargil, for the Indian flag was not properly placed on the bodies of the Indian soldiers. He brought allegations against Dharmendra and Hema Malini when Dharmendra denied about converting to Muslim to marry Hema Malini. However, his most publicized case was against M.F. Husain on his painting nude Indian goddesses. The tragic thing is, none of his cases had any success. Still, he filed a case against Dhoom2. When he was asked about Mallika Sherawat and her on screen kissing, he said that he does not watch many Hindi movies and he does not know Mallika Sherawat but he has seen Dhoom 2.

The tragic twist is that Shailendra Dwivedi may have felt bad about Aishwarya Rai’s on screen kissing but what he does not know that kissing has become a normal thing in Hindi movies now days. Women wearing short dresses and dancing in front of the camera is very normal. If Dwivedi really wants to stop obscenity then he would have to shut down entire Bollywood film industry. And like you people I also know that it is not possible. So every thing goes on the way it goes. There will more movies like this and actresses will kiss actors on the screen. What would Shailendra Do?
