Ahead of the important match of the Group B between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, I have already posted one entry analyzing the batting of the two teams. Though I think that it is their batsmen who will make the difference in the match, it is not possible to ignore the bowlers. Now, I am going to write on the bowlers of both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
For Sri Lanka, Lasith Malinga will be very vital. Farveex Maharoof seems in a good form as he got four wickets in the first match against Bermuda conceding just 23 runs. I don’t need to give any introduction to Muttiah Muralitharan and Chaminda Vass. They are always great and for many years have consistently performed for Team Sri Lanka.
On the other hand, Bangladeshi bowlers are now in a good form and they just destroyed India two days ago. Mashrafe Mortaza, the highest wicket taker of 2006 in ODI cricket, is on fire now with his excellent line and length. Moreover, I think, Syed Rasel will also be important for Bangladeshi bowling. In addition, all the three spinners bowled well in the last match. With the inclusion of Saquibul Hasan, Bangladeshi spin attack has become stronger and Abdur Razzak has showed consistency in the last few matched. However, I think the experienced spinner Mohammad Rafique will be the key to Bangladesh in the match against Sri Lanka.
So, enjoy the match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka on 21 March and then let me know your feeling here.
