After marriage Aishwarya Rai will become a full time house wife. Now days, she is spending a lot of time with Amitabh Bachchan, her would be father-in-law, which has led to this assumption. However, neither Aishwarya nor the Bachchan’s gave any such statements. I am quoting from the news published in Bollywood Wordpress.com:
Will Aishwarya Rai quit movies to become a ghar ki bahu once she marries Bachchan Jr? That’s the latest buzz in Bollywood even as speculation about a possible Abhishek–Aishwarya marriage this year has become almost a belief now.
Even though there is no official word on the same from either of the families, Ash has been spotted more frequently in the company of the Bachchans in the recent days adding more fuel to the gossip mills.
In an interview published in Kerala online, Abhishek Bachchan was asked whether he would Aishwarya Rai to continue acting, he replied that he is from a family of actors and her mother is an actress. However, there is a good possibility that both Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai would take a long holiday after their marriage.
According to the norm of Indian society, after marriage a women mainly looks after the house. So, it is natural that female actresses would not be able continue their work. Now days, things are changing. Kajol, one of the most successful actresses of Bollywood is still continuing acting after having her first daughter. Jaya Bachchan, wife of Amitabh Bachchan also continued working after marriage. So, I do not think that Aishwarya would be saying good bye to Bollywood after marriage.
