The coach of Pakistan cricket team Bob Woolmer has died in a hospital of Kingston. This great coach was 58. This England born former cricketer had was famous as a coach in the international arena. Earlier, he coached the South African national cricket team successfully and later on, he coached the Pakistan team with whom he had a contact to till the ongoing World Cup Cricket 2007.

Today, (18^th March, 2007), he was found unconscious in his hotel room in Kingston, Jamaica. Then, he was taken to the University Hospital, Kingston while he left his last breath.

Bob Woolmer played for England in both Test and ODI cricket. In 19 Test matches, he scored 1059 runs at an average of 33.09 with three centuries. He played 6 ODI matches but could not make anything memorable in his ODI career. However, his first class career was glorious as he scored 15772 runs with 34 centuries.

Bob Woolmer took over the coaching of Pakistan team in 2004 but he was not as much successful as he was with South Africa.

His death comes after a day of the elimination of Pakistan team from the World Cup Cricket 2007 having lost the match against Ireland. I am not sure if Pakistan’s getting out of the tournament caused such untimely death of this great figure of world cricket but it is, for sure, that it was a sad experience for him. I pray for the salvation of his departed soul.
