Sachin Tendulkar has recently said that he is not sure yet if the ongoing World Cup Cricket 2007 is going to be the last world cup for him. This veteran batsman has some of the most glorious records at his hands including the highest ODI runs, ODI matches and both ODI and Test centuries. He is optimistic that if his health supports, he may appear in the 2011 World Cup Cricket which will be held
Cricket Zone reported:
"I don't know if this is my final World Cup. The one in 2011 is quite far from here but it all depends on how my body is holding up," said Tendulkar as he graced a UNICEF function for fight against HIV-AIDS among children at. Port of Spain "We can reach the finals. Our chances are very good but all we need is to stick to basics and gain an early momentum."
"West Indies were all out for 85 against us but they then defeated
. In one-day cricket, everyday is a new day. Pakistan
"We can't take any opposition lightly. We can't afford to be over-confident. Since we would face very different oppositions, we need to have flexibility in planning," he added.

This great batsman is now 34 and in the next world cup he would be 38 which I think, is a bit too late for a batsman to participate in the world cup. The legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram played in the last world cup in 2003 while he was 36. However, what is important to consider here is performance. If a player can perform well then I do not see any problem with his participation. Indian fans would surely love him to play in World Cup Cricket 2011.

Tendulkar wants to play another world cup! He may play 8 world cups but India CANNOT win if the selectors choose young player. Look at B'desh: the young players caused the exit of these experienced batsmen..
