Andrew Flintoff, the star all rounder of England cricket team, has been left out of the best eleven for the match against Canada being accused of drinking and staying out late at night. It happened after England’s first match against New Zealand in World Cup Cricket 2007. Having lost the match, Flintoff along with his five team mates drank for a long time and stayed outside the hotel late at night. As a result, team management and the board have pulled him out of the team for the match against Canada. He is now on the verge of losing his vice captaincy as well. He was warned about drinking problem in the past too.
Metro News reported:
"Andrew Flintoff has been given warnings about his conduct and disciplined for previous incidents of this nature," England coach Duncan Fletcher said. "In light of this and due to the serious nature of the incident which he was involved in at the hotel on Friday night, we have decided to take further disciplinary action against him."
Flintoff would be considered for selection for the rest of the World Cup, he said.
Five other players were fined Saturday for being out late following the loss to New Zealand. Fletcher identified them as fast bowlers James Anderson, Liam Plunkett and John Lewis, wicketkeeper Paul Nixon and batsman Ian Bell.
"All players involved wish to express their sincere regret for the embarrassment caused to their teammates, the England supporters and the ECB," Fletcher said in a statement.
"Flintoff's shipfaced," the News of the World reported that Flintoff had been out drinking

This is really very shameful for a senior cricketer like Andrew Flintoff. I think team management has taken the good decision. The sad part is that Flintoff is the top all rounder of Team England. Missing him is not a good idea.
