India is going to start their world cup mission with the warm up match against Netherlands at the Trelawny Stadium, Jamaica. The match is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, 6 March, 2007. Ahead of the warm up match, Indian captain Rahul Dravid said that they were confident of doing well in World Cup Cricket 2007.
Cricket Zone reported:
The Indians will open their campaign with a match against Bangladesh in Queen's Park Oval in Trinidad on March 17.
Dravid said his team was well prepared for the tournament.
"We have a pretty good team and we are very confident," he said.
The captain also said he was hopeful that the tournament would unfold positively for the team which had finished runners-up in the previous 2003 edition.
"I know that all the other teams will be aiming to play their best cricket but we are very confident that this is going to be a very good tournament for us," Dravid added.

Though Netherlands is not a big team, India must take the match very seriously. I think India should play aggressively from the beginning of the match so that they can win the match with a big margin which will give a boost to their confidence level. Indian will play another warm up match against the host team West Indies on March 9, 2007.
