On this Friday (9 March 2007), India is going to play against West Indies in a warm up match ahead of World Cup Cricket. The match will take place in Trelawny, Jamaica. It will be an interesting match in which both the teams will want to win. There is no clear favorite winner at this moment. In the first practice match, West Indies has defeated Kenya while India defeated The Netherlands in their first practice match. Kenya gave West Indies a tough time while India defeated The Netherlands with a significant margin. However, I have to say that none of the two teams could impress us.

India’s main problem is that Indian top order batsmen are not performing consistently in the last few months. Even yesterday again The Netherlands, all the top order Indian batsmen except Dravid and Tendulkar failed to make any impression. So, Indian players will have to work very hard in Friday’s warm up match against West Indies.

On the other hand, West Indies is the host of World Cup Cricket 2007 and all the people here are expecting West Indies to lift the trophy. So, if they can defeat India then their supporters will feel some calm.
