Star South African batsman Herschelle Gibbs made a tremendous record in the history of cricket by hitting six 6s in an over. This was the first time in the history that a batsman could score six to all of the six balls of an over in international cricket. It was the 30^th over of the South African innings while they were playing against Netherlands in their first match of the ongoing World Cup Cricket 2007.

The unlucky bowler was 24 years old Daan van Bunge. I think that he will try to forget the six balls from his mind. I wish he could do it as soon as possible. On the other hand, the destroyer Herschelle Gibbs will carry this sweet memory in his mind for the rest of his life. Here it is noteworthy that the world has seen six 6s in an over earlier twice but both the time it happened in first class cricket not in Test or ODI. First, it was done by Sir Garry Sobers and then Indian legend Ravi Shastri made the same record in first class cricket.
