Mehendi:
On April 19th the Mehendi ceremony will take place at Pratiksha. The main feature of this ceremony is that the bride will attend mehendi on her hands and her friends and families will attend mehendi as well. It is like a big family get together. On her Mehendi, Aishwarya will wear a red ghagra chori which has been designed by Neeta Lulla, Aishwarya Rai’s favorite designer. Special henna mehendi has been brought from Sojat, a place in Rajasthan, famous for producing good quality henna mehendi. The henna for the wedding of Liz Hurley and Arun Nayar was also supplied by Sojat.
Wedding:
The wedding ceremony will also take place at Pratiksha. The astrologers have declared the time 6.30 pm ideal for Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s marriage. The wedding will take place according to the Arya Samaj rites. Aishwarya Rai will wear hand woven saree designed by Neeta Lulla. Abhishek Bachchan will wear sherwani designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.
Bidai:
Bidai is the day when the girl leaves her parents house and goes to the house of her husband. On April 21st Aishwarya Rai’s Bidai ceremony will take place at her Bandra apartment.
