Aishwarya Rai is now married and her marriage is now the talk of Asia. The marriage ceremony is over and people are still crazy about it. Today, I was watching Zee News at noon and they broadcast a number of reports on Aishwarya Rai.

While watching the reports, a question came to my mind about the name of Aishwarya Rai. Will she change her name? What should we call her from now? There are 3 options. The first option is that she will not change her name and continue to be named as Aishwarya Rai. It is not unusual for many women in the modern time.

Then, there is the option of Aishwarya Bachchan. It is logical in the Indian context. Her mother-in-law is now known as Jaya Bachchan. So, I would not be surprised if Aishwarya Rai becomes Aishwarya Bachchan.

The third option is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. This sounds nice. It would keep the original name and add the power of Bachchan.

Personally, I like that she does not change her name and simply be called as Aishwarya Rai.
