Finally, we can say in Amitabh Bachchan’s style “LOCK KAR DIYA JAI.” Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s wedding date has been fixed on April 20th. The wedding ceremony would take place in Bachchan residence Pratiksha. All this time the rumor of a grand wedding ceremony was spread but the Bachchans have decided to make it short and simple. Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri’s wedding was a private affair, so was Shweta’s, and there would be no exception in Abhishek’s case.
The marriage ceremony would go on for three days. Sangeet will be held on April 18th, Mehendi ceremony on 19th and the Pheras will be on 20th April. Twentieth April is the Akshay Tritiya which is a very good day according to the Hindu religion. Another reason, the wedding has been kept private is Amitabh Bachchan’s ill mother Teji Bachchan. She is now at Lilavati hospital and with her present condition she would not be able to attend a big ceremony. According to a report published in dnaindia.com, only fifteen guests will be invited to the ceremony. The Bachchans did not sell the media rights to any channels but there are many interested parties.
Abhishek and Aishwarya have known each other since 2000 but they started dating seriously from 2005. Rumors started to spread as the two were seen together in various places. In 2006, the couple appeared in several movies and the rumors about their romances got momentum. Finally, this year on January 14th they were officially engaged. There were various speculations about their marriage ceremony but none of them were true.
